THE OFFICIAL RULES
GIVE-AWAY ENTRANTS MUST BE LEGAL RESIDENTS OF ONE OF THE 50 UNITED STATES OR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD AT TIME OF ENTRY TO BE ELIGIBLE. VOID OUTSIDE THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. Employees of Italian Cooking And Living, Alitalia Airlines, Cooking Vacations International, and any/all independent contractors working directly on this give-away, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible to enter.
1) PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Promotion begins at 12:01a.m. ET on August 1, 2005 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on December 5, 2005.
2) HOW TO ENTER: To enter, complete and submit electronically the online entry form as instructed. Please note, limit one entry per entrant and per email address. Multiple entries submitted in violation of the previous sentence may be void. Sponsors assume no responsibility for lost, late or misdirected entries or for any computer, online, telephone, fax or human error or technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become the property of the sponsors and will not be answered, acknowledged or returned. If you do not want your e-mail address used for future marketing purposes please check the appropriate box on the entry form. 3) WINNER SELECTION: One (1) grand prize winner wll be selected in a random drawing to be conducted in December 2005. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. 4) GRAND PRIZE: One (1) winner will receive (a) two round-trip (economy) airline tickets 2 roundtrip economy class tickets from one Alitalia's U.S. gateways (Boston, Chicago, Newark, New York (JFK), Miami or Washington D.C.) to Naples, Rome or Milan, Italy; to Villa Ortaglia - 5 night cooking vacation itinerary including: one private room (double-occupancy) for five (5) nights; daily breakfast; three (3) dinners following the class with local wine, water and coffee; three (3) hands-on cooking lessons; visits to food artisans, Montepuliciano, a wine tour and tasting; transportation; and taxes and service charges roundtrip transfer to train station. Approximate retail value of prize package: $10,000.00, depending on actual itinerary. Income and other taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of winner. Prize consists of only those items specifically listed above. All additional lunches, dinners, snacks, excursions, ground transportation-including, but not limited to trains, taxis, buses, tours, in-room hotel charges, gratuities, incidentals, shopping and all other expenses are the winner's sole responsibility. Winner and his/her travel companion must travel on the same dates and itinerary as selected by sponsors. All reservations subject to availability. Blackout dates and other restrictions, may apply. Scheduling is subject to certain restrictions and limitations and trip must be taken by December 6, 2006. If winner is unable to take the trip at that time, then the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner. No cash redemption/not valid with any other promotion. Availability to use Alitalia flight voucher begins January 1, 2006 and ends December 6, 2006. Total Approximate retail value of prize: $10,000.00 estimate.
5) GENERAL CONDITIONS: Cooking vacations' contest/sweepstakes entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these official rules. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. No substitution of prize except by Sponsor in which case a prize of equal value will be substituted. No transfer of prize. Winners will be notified by email. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. If a winner is unreachable after 48 hours, or if a winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner may be selected at random from all remaining eligible entries received. All decisions of the judges are final. The winner will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and winner and travel companion will be required to execute a Liability/Publicity Release all of which must be received by sponsors within 7 days following the date of notification. Non-compliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Acceptance of any prize constitutes permission for sponsors to use winner's name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless the Sponsors, their parent, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies, and each of their directors, officers, employees, independent contractors, representatives, agents, or freelance personal from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this cooking vacations sweepstakes or acceptance or use of any prize won.
6) INTERNET: If for any reason this sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the sponsors which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this cooking vacations sweepstakes, the sponsors reserve the right at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the cooking vacations sweepstakes. The sponsors assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsors are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsors on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. Any attempt to damage the website, or attempt to undermine the operations of the cooking vacation sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the sponsors reserve the right to seek damage from any such persons responsible responsible for such an attempt to the fullest extent permitted by law. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an E-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the E-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted E-mail address.

THE TYPE OF INFORMATION Italian Cooking And Living collects personally identifying information with your specific knowledge and consent.
