Andrea DiMeglio
Born in Ischia, Italy, Andrea DiMeglio hails from a heritage steeped in the culinary arts. His home island accredits this, hosting an extremely diverse cuisine that bears tribute to its rich heritage. After leaving Ischia at an early age, Andrea found himself quickly drawn into a culinary world that defines “American Cuisine”.
From age six, he worked in pizzerias and restaurants across New Jersey, not only gaining experience, but insight into the turbulent and fast-paced food industry. This later became an integral part of the reason for his success with his brothers in the Luca’s/Victor’s chains.
In 1990, after a disagreement over creative license with his employer, Andrea left and began employment working with his older brother in a small pizzeria. After several years of moderate success, Andrea decided to expand the cuisine. He left the confines of the stereotypical Italian fare and embraced his own rich cultural heritage, thus transforming Luca’s into a four-star restaurant.
