Cooking My Love - Weekly Kitchen Agenda 2008

For more than 50 years I have collected notes and recipes on pieces of paper, restaurant checks and business cards. Then I thought of making an agenda for our readers and their friends, and I realized that I should have thought about it half a century ago! I would have avoided loosing so much time and certainly I would be able to track down more recipes, notes and information than I do now.

So I have planned an agenda with improvements, like if I was creating it for myself, with a place to put recipes, information, to write down projects, notes and addresses and with a glossary of Italian cooking terms. I also put it in a letter-sized format so that I can stick in pages of recipes I may download from the internet.

For each week I have foreseen an illustrated recipe, space for notes and a calendar of the major holidays. Also, I have added several pages of “Tricks & Tips,” which certainly can be a great help.

Because I am not too patient I have bound the agenda with a spiral so it will stay open at the page I wish, then I have covered it with a transparent plastic cover, which I like to call a “splash protector.” so I don’t have to pay particular attention to not stain it, and can always wipe clean with a damp cloth.

It is true that for 50 years I have poorly collected my recipes! But I have great pleasure going through them. So I dedicate this weekly kitchen agenda of mine to our readers and their friends, and I really hope it will make their lives easier around the stove. Good cuisine is a pleasure and a joy for those that are cooking it and for those that are eating it.

Buon Appetito,
Paolo Villoresi
