Festival name: Vinart 2003
Date: End of May through early June

About the event: This is a new event that brings together two of Italy's prided cultural traditions: wine and art. Roverto's Contemporary and Modern Art Museum (the Mart), Trento's Social Theatre, and many different wine shops and restaurants take part in this festival of tastings and artistic viewings. The program includes dozens of unique events, including a sampling of the 100 best Central European wines from May 31-June 1, cheese tastings, architecture seminars, classical, opera, and jazz music, musical theater, and Palazzo Festi, a grappa seminar.

Festival name: Festival of Cherries

About the event: Many stalls offering typical products of the region, and many menus that use cherries from the appetizer straight through to the dessert. Also features mountain bike rides, and walks in the surrounding area.

Festival name: Valsugana Chestnut Festival
Date: Starts final Friday of every October (continues into early November)
Where: Throughout the town
Town: Valsugana
Province: Trento
Region: Trentino-Alto Adige
Food: Chestnuts
About the event: Tastings of local specialties: chestnut sweets, cakes and main course dishes. There are also musical performances, games, walks, reconstructions of ancient Roman contests, sculpting events and more. All the local restaurants serve local chestnut delicacies.
