Perfumed, fresh, extremely
quaffable wines versatile enough to pair with fish.
Soft in tannins, these wines accept a variety of food pairings; best when drunk between one and five years from vintage. Fleshy, meaty, large-scaled wines meant to age and develop in time; better balance of freshness and complexity when young.
  2003 Cavit Chardonnay $9.
Handpicked from vineyards in the Adige River Valley of Northeastern Italy, these Chardonnay grapes are enticingly fragrant-an excellent wine with your antipasti.
2003 Mandrarossa Chardonnay $9.
This Sicilian Chardonnay conjures images of the island with its citrus and apricot aromas and fresh lemon and peach palate. Serve with chicken or other white meats.
  2002 Sportoletti Grechetto Assisi $11.
A nutty and fruity white, this wine is made from 100 percent Grechetto grapes grown near Assisi in Umbria. A pleasing and rich character at a great value.
 
2003 Tramin Sauvignon Blanc $19.
This Trentino-Alto Adige winery is owned by a cooperative of local growers. Grassy aromas and citrus flavors shine through, with a crisp, refreshing finish.
2003 ColonnaraVerdicchio Cuprese $14.
Known for its Soave, the Anselmi winery in the Veneto produces this clean, refreshing blend. The aromas of fruit are intoxicating-a perfect combination with tuna carpaccio.

A young Verdicchio from the Marches region, this wine is packed with fruit on the nose as well as the palate. The flavorful finish lingers-a great wine for the cellar.
  2003 Marchesi di Barolo Gavi Le Lune $14.
From the time-honored Marchesi di Barolo estate in Piedmont comes this light, straw-colored wine made with Cortese grapes. The dry, crisp taste is delicate and delicious.
 
  2003 Marisa Cuomo Ravello Bianco $20.
The volcanic soils of Campania impart this elegant blend with complex floral, citrus, pear and apple flavors and a refreshingly polished feel. Perfect with a simple risotto.
2002 Montenidoli Vernaccia di San Gimignano "Tradizionale" $21.
Aptly named, the "Tradizionale" is made following local Tuscan tradition. It exhibits a rich floral bouquet and a well-balanced taste. Try it with a fish specialty, such as baccalà.

White Wines

Light dishes with rich flavor, seafood, antipasti, simple pastas Seafood, frittatas, white meats, lighter truffle dishes. Grilled fish, flavorful pastas, lemon chicken, white meats.
Refreshing acidity, pure fruit flavors, clean, crisp finish, no evident oak. Most versatile whites; rich in texture, complex in flavor. More powerful, fleshy wines with less pronounced aromatic profile and fruit flavors, suitable for aging.

  Fazi Battaglia Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico $8.
A 100 percent Verdicchio from the Marches, this wine is clean and crisp with enticing fruity aromas laced with notes of roses. Try it with a chicken pizzaiola or other white meats.
 
  2003 MandraRossa Fiano $9.
The refreshing aromas of lemon and orange peel conjure images of the citrus groves in Sicily, where this wine is made. The dry taste is balanced and fruity-ideal with grilled seafood.
 
Falanghina $14.
A fresh and fruity choice from one of the leading winemakers in Ipirnia, Campania. Bold scents of citrus and pineapple hit the nose, followed by a fresh, clean, balanced palate.
2002 Elisabetta Le Marze Bianco $16.
This golden wine is sweet, smooth and refreshing. A blend of grapes from the vineyards of Tuscany, it is an ideal match for linguine alle vongole (pasta with clams).
2003 Zenato Lugana$14.
Made exclusively from Trebbiano grapes, this wine is velvety and rich. Try it as an aperitivo or with an antipasto platter, and let the almond and lemon scents shine through.
2003 Cottanera Barbazzale Bianco $17.
Made from native Sicilian grapes, the varietals in this wine are the same as those in Marsala. The bouquet is intense-herbs, flowers and exotic fruit-with a dry, delicious taste.
2002 Arneis Ceretto Blange $19.
Arneis grapes are indigenous to Piedmont, with a clear bouquet of pear and sour apple, mingled with smoky notes. The palate is bright and fruity-perfect for a light pasta dish.
2003 Saladini Pilastri Falerio Bianco $15.
This is a well-balanced, yet unusual blend of grapes. Trebbiano, Pecorino, Passerina and Chardonnay give it a floral nose and a fruity palate. A refreshing wine with tuna carpaccio.
  2003 Bottega Vinaia Pinot Grigio$20.
From family-farmed vineyards in Trentino comes this Pinot Grigio. The grapes are handpicked from the vines nestled in the Dolomites, producing a wine with a strong floral bouquet.
