Sardinia
In Sardinia, the northern lands are hilly and harsh, the center has both hills and plains, and the south is predominantly hilly. The wines being produced are dry whites, unique dessert wines and rapidly improving reds. Nuragus, Cannonau and Monica are widely grown grape varietals, and the Vermentino di Gallura DOCG is the most notable wine produced here.
