Caramelized Pears with Grana Wedges A web-exclusive recipe from Italian Cooking and Living
2 Anjou pears, ripe and firm
1/4 stick unsalted butter
1/2 cup sugar
4 small Grana Padano wedges
Peel, core and cut the pears into 8 wedges. Melt the butter
in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the sugar and the pears and
cook for about 10 minutes until the sugar caramelizes to a light golden color.
Serve immediately with the Grana wedges on the side. Serves 4
