Sage and Cannellini Bean Spread A web-exclusive recipe from Italian Cooking and Living
1 can cannellini beans, drained
1 clove garlic, peeled
2 fresh sage leaves
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
In the bowl of a food processor, combine the beans, garlic,
and sage leaves. With the motor running, slowly drizzle the olive oil until
you get a rich, creamy spread. Season with salt and pepper, then transfer to
a serving dish. Serve alongside pieces of a hearty Tuscan bread, or topped on
crostini. Serves 6
