Sage and Cannellini Bean Spread

  • 1 can cannellini beans, drained
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 2 fresh sage leaves
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • In the bowl of a food processor, combine the beans, garlic, and sage leaves. With the motor running, slowly drizzle the olive oil until you get a rich, creamy spread. Season with salt and pepper, then transfer to a serving dish. Serve alongside pieces of a hearty Tuscan bread, or topped on crostini. Serves 6
