Mixed Fruit Skewers with ProvoloneA web-exclusive recipe from Italian Cooking and Living2 kiwis, peeled and sliced
12 seedless green grapes
2 Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored and cubed
12 strawberries, hulled
1/2 pound provolone, sliced
1/2 pound pecorino, cubed
1 cheese wheel for serving (optional)
Thread the ingredients through
wooden skewers, alternating pieces of fruit with pieces of cheese. (This can
be done ahead of time, and set aside in the refrigerator.) To serve, arrange
the prepared skewers in a wheel of cheese. Serves 12
top, and transfer to a
serving platter. Serve immediately. Serves 6
