Mixed Fruit Skewers with ProvoloneFrom Italian Cooking and Living, August/September 2004
2 kiwis, peeled and sliced
12 seedless green grapes
2 Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored and cubed
12 strawberries, hulled
1/2 pound provolone, sliced
1/2 pound pecorino, cubed
1 cheese wheel for serving (optional)
Thread the ingredients through wooden skewers, alternating pieces of fruit with pieces of cheese. (This can be done ahead of time, and set aside in the refrigerator.) To serve, arrange the prepared skewers in a wheel of cheese. Serves 12
