La Compagnia di Bacco/Italian Wine Society is the premier Italian wine appreciation club in the United States. The non-profit organization was founded by Italian Cooking & Living president Paolo Villoresi to celebrate the unique qualities of Italian wine, to highlight its social nature, and to educate people about Italian winemaking traditions.
Members are treated to monthly wine tastings, gala dinners, and educational programs in prestigious restaurants in New York City and throughout the U.S., featuring Italy's top wine producers.
In addition, members receive assistance in setting up their own local tastings and dinners to promote appreciation of Italian wines. Each month, they also receive an informative, educational newsletter about a different winemaking region or vineyard.
